Our callOpen it if your missing ex are from Mega Rising to Ruler of the Skies; skip it for Team Rocket ex or Crown chasing.

Open the Pokemon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack: Mega if your missing ex come from Mega Rising to Ruler of the Skies: the time-limited booster reprints every ◊◊◊◊ card from those nine sets and leaves the game on October 28, 2026. We checked all 429 cards on Limitless against each source set; the ex it leaves out are the newest ones, from Team Rocket's Ambition.

TL;DR: Deluxe Pack: Mega (B4b) runs from September 29, 2026, 6:00 p.m. PDT to October 28, 2026, 5:59 p.m. PDT. Each pack has 4 cards with at least one ◊◊◊◊ card. Its 70 ◊◊◊◊ cards match the ◊◊◊◊ lists of the nine sets from Mega Rising (B1) to Ruler of the Skies (B4) one for one. The 6 Team Rocket's Ambition ex are not in it.

Pokemon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack: Quick Answer

The Pokemon TCG Pocket Deluxe Pack: Mega is a 429-card special booster for catching up on B-series ex cards you missed. Every pack guarantees a ◊◊◊◊ card or better, and it adds 27 star and Crown cards, including new art. It is only available until October 28, 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • Available September 29, 2026, 6:00 p.m. PDT to October 28, 2026, 5:59 p.m. PDT, per the official trailer.
  • 4 cards per pack, guaranteed one card of ◊◊◊◊ rarity or higher.
  • 429 cards on Limitless, including 70 ◊◊◊◊ ex reissues from nine expansions.
  • Team Rocket's Ambition (B4a) is not covered: its 6 ex cards are missing.
  • Chase cards: Miraidon ex and Koraidon ex Crown Rares, and a ☆☆☆ Mega Charizard X ex.

Deluxe Pack: Mega Overview: What the 429 Cards Are

Pokemon.com announced the pack on September 24, 2026, and launched it on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 p.m. PDT. Limitless lists the set as B4b with a September 30, 2026 date, which is the same launch in later time zones.

The official line is that Deluxe Pack: Mega "features many cards introduced in previous expansions, from Mega Rising to Ruler of the Skies, including reissues of every ◊◊◊◊ card from those expansions". The packs are smaller than a normal booster: four cards, with one ◊◊◊◊ card or better in each.

This is the second Deluxe Pack. The A series had Deluxe Pack: ex (A4b), which Limitless lists at 379 cards with a September 30, 2025 date. For a refresher on rarity symbols and how a match plays out, see how to play Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Which ex Cards Return, and Which Do Not

All 70 ◊◊◊◊ cards in the pack are reissues from the nine B-series expansions between Mega Rising and Ruler of the Skies. We compared each set's ◊◊◊◊ list on Limitless with the Deluxe Pack list, and every one is present:

Team Rocket's Ambition came out on August 27, 2026, after Ruler of the Skies, and none of its six ex cards are in the pack: Team Rocket's Moltres ex, Articuno ex, Zapdos ex, Slowking ex, Weezing ex and Raticate ex. If you are missing one of those, this pack will not help.

The meta-relevant ex are all here. Mega Lucario ex, Mega Altaria ex, Miraidon ex and Mega Rayquaza ex each have a ◊◊◊◊ reprint, so a player building our Mega Lucario ex deck can pull the main attacker here.

The Star Cards and Crown Rares

The 27 star and Crown cards sit at numbers 403 to 429 on Limitless. The 6 ☆ cards are Charmeleon, Baxcalibur, Meloetta, Fidough, Dratini and Eevee.

The 18 ☆☆ cards are 12 Mega ex (Venusaur, Sceptile, Charizard X, Charizard Y, Blaziken, Blastoise, Gyarados, Gardevoir, Altaria, Lucario, Gengar and Rayquaza), 4 Supporters (Iris, Elesa, Arven and Copycat), plus Dedenne ex and Mega Diancie ex. The top of the set is a ☆☆☆ Mega Charizard X ex (#425, illustrated by DOM) and two Crown Rares: Miraidon ex (#428) and Koraidon ex (#429).

The trainer art got the loudest reaction. In the r/PTCGP thread for the official trailer, one reply summed it up: "Well I guess Copycat is the chase card." (u/RemSau on r/PTCGP) Copycat's ☆☆ version is #424 on Limitless.

Step-by-Step: Planning Your Deluxe Pack Pulls

1. Note the end time. Packs are available until October 28, 2026 at 5:59 p.m. PDT. After that, the Deluxe Pack: Mega booster is gone from the pack list.

2. List the ◊◊◊◊ ex you are missing. Check your collection against the nine expansions in the table above. Every ◊◊◊◊ card from Mega Rising to Ruler of the Skies is in this pack, so any gap in those sets is a target.

3. Leave Team Rocket's Ambition out of the plan. Its six ex cards are not reissued here, so keep opening Team Rocket's Ambition packs if you need them.

4. Decide what you are chasing. Each 4-card pack guarantees one ◊◊◊◊ card or higher. If you want playable ex, that guarantee works for you. If you want the Crown Rares or the ☆☆☆ Mega Charizard X ex, you are chasing 3 cards out of 429.

5. Use the October events. Pokemon.com says Ranked Match Season B4b SP in mid to late October gives more rank points than usual, and you do not lose rank points or drop rank on a loss. Practice decks built from your new pulls there.

Tips for the Deluxe Pack Window

Rental decks are about to change. Pokemon.com says that toward the end of October 2026 a community decks feature arrives, and current rental decks will be deleted. Rentals will then use cards from the latest booster packs. Theme deck lists and deck missions end too.

Step-up battles are being replaced. The same announcement says step-up battles become a new solo-battle system with rising difficulty, and you won't be able to get first-time rewards from the old ones afterward. Clear any you care about before the update.

Release Celebration Poke Gold deals end with the new series. If you were planning to buy one, the announcement calls this the last chance.

Covers and backdrops. Mega Charizard X covers and backdrops have been available since Wednesday, September 30.

The Pokedex view got a fix, some players say. In a launch-week thread, one player wrote: "I like this pack better, purely because they fixed the pokedex overlap issues." (u/Brianna6146 on r/PTCGP) That is a player report, not an official patch note.

Event wins can come from private matches. In a thread of decks for the Deluxe Pack Mega emblem event missions, a player pointed out: "those wins do not have to be in the event. You can run private matches too." (u/Naerdriel on r/PTCGP)

Our take

Deluxe Pack: Mega is the best catch-up pack the B series has had. Its ◊◊◊◊ cards line up exactly with nine expansions, so any missing ex from Mega Rising to Ruler of the Skies has a 4-card pack with a guaranteed ◊◊◊◊ slot behind it until it leaves the game.

What it does not do is cover the newest set. If your missing cards are Team Rocket ex, open Team Rocket's Ambition instead. And with only 3 of 429 cards at ☆☆☆ or Crown, we would treat the chase cards as a bonus, not the reason to open.
