- Alternate ArtIndustry
A variant of a card printed with different artwork. In One Piece TCG these are often called parallel or alt art, and they usually cost more than the standard version.
- Booster BoxIndustry
A sealed box containing a set number of booster packs. Buying a box gives better odds at a set's rarer cards than a handful of single packs.
- Booster PackIndustry
A sealed pack of randomized cards used to expand your collection. TCGs release new booster sets every few months.
- Chase CardIndustry
The most sought-after card of a set, usually a rare or alternate-art card that drives the price of boxes and packs.
- EnchantedIndustry
The rare, full-art card variant in Disney Lorcana. Enchanted cards are chase cards and among the most valuable pulls.
- GachaIndustry
A mechanic where you pay for a random reward, borrowed from Japanese capsule toys. Booster packs work the same way, since you don't choose which cards you get.
- GradingIndustry
Sending a card to a company such as PSA or BGS to be inspected, scored for condition, and sealed in a protective case (slab).
- Manga RareIndustry
A One Piece TCG chase rarity that reproduces a manga panel as the card art. Manga rares are extremely scarce and among the most expensive cards.
- MSRPIndustry
The manufacturer's suggested retail price. When a product sells for far more than MSRP, it is usually due to short supply.
- PlaymatIndustry
A mat that shows the game zones and protects cards on the table. Many games also sell artist-illustrated mats as collectibles.
- PreorderIndustry
Buying a product before its release date. Prices and availability shift quickly around launch, so preorders often sell out or rise in value.
- Pull RateIndustry
How often a specific rarity or card appears in booster packs. Lower pull rates make a card harder to find and often more expensive.
- ReprintIndustry
A card printed again in a later product. Reprints usually lower a card's price by increasing supply.
- Sealed ProductIndustry
Any unopened product from a set, such as booster boxes, cases, and starter decks. Collectors hold sealed product because it can rise in value.
- Secret RareIndustry
A high rarity tier in many TCGs. In One Piece TCG, Secret Rare cards carry the SEC rarity code, and a booster set has very few of them: OP-17 has 2 SEC cards among its 119 base cards.
- SetIndustry
A numbered release of new cards, such as OP-17 or a Union Arena booster set. Each set has its own card list, art, and card codes.
- SlabIndustry
A graded card sealed in a hard plastic case by a grading company, with a label showing its grade.
- SleevesIndustry
Protective plastic covers for cards. Players sleeve their deck to protect cards during play, and many tournaments require sleeves that are uniform and opaque.
- Starter DeckIndustry
A preconstructed, ready-to-play deck sold for beginners. In One Piece TCG, starter decks are numbered (ST-01 and up) and are built around a single leader.
- ToploaderIndustry
A rigid plastic holder that protects a single card from bends and dings, commonly used for storing or shipping valuable cards.
