Dragon Ball Fusion World Starter Decks: Which to Buy in 2026

Every Fusion World starter is a ready-to-play 51-card deck with a leader and energy markers, and the ones on sale now also include a code for the digital game. The differences are the leader, the mechanic it teaches, and what it costs today.

FS12 The Beat of Ki: best deck to keep upgrading

FS12 is a Black Super Saiyan Goku deck that fights with Ki, the markers you put on your cards to power their skills. That matters because Ki is where the game went next. The FB10 Son Goku leader awakens at 2 Ki, and three of the five new FB11 leaders (Trunks, Goku Black and Bardock) awaken off Ki too. FS11 The Phase of Evolution: the meta pick, if you'll rebuild it

FS11 is a Yellow Super Saiyan 3 Goku deck built around Evolve. Its leader gets energy back when you play a big Evolve card, and that leader is the reason to buy it. The catch is the rest of the deck. As one r/DBSFusionWorld player put it: "to make SS3 top tier, you need to essentially ditch most of the cards it comes with." At about $41.66 it's no longer a cheap way in, so buy it only if you plan to add FB09 singles.

FS01 to FS04: cheapest way to learn

The four original decks came out together in February 2024 and still sell for close to their $11.99 launch price. They're the cheapest way to learn the basics: energy, awakening your leader, and combat. Pick by playstyle:

• FS01 Son Goku (Red): attack first and keep the pressure on. The simplest to pick up.
• FS02 Vegeta (Blue): more hand management and timing.
• FS03 Broly (Green): big bodies; Broly hits 25,000 power once awakened.
• FS04 Frieza (Yellow): control, with a leader that stands two battle cards back up at the end of your turn.

None of them is a tournament deck out of the box. Treat one as a teaching deck, then move to a newer leader.

FS09 Shallot and FS10 Giblet: collector decks now

These two Dragon Ball Legends decks launched at $23.99 in June 2025. Today Shallot sells for about four times that and Giblet for over three times. They're fine decks, but at these prices you're paying for the collectibles, not the gameplay. If you want to play Shallot, the new FB11 Shallot/Giblet leader is another way in.

New starters in January

FS13 The Saiyan Raised on Earth and FS14 The Prince of Saiyan release on January 22, 2027 at $15.99 each. If you're not in a hurry and want a Goku or Vegeta deck at launch price, they're worth the wait.

Our take

Buy FS12 if you want one deck you'll still be upgrading next year. Buy one of FS01 to FS04 if you only want to see whether the game clicks, and pick by color, not by who's on the box. Skip FS09 and FS10 unless you collect Legends cards, and don't pay collector prices for any starter as a learning deck. Then add FB11 Brightness of Hope cards through singles once you know which leader you like.
