FB11 Chase Cards: What Brightness of Hope Pulls Are Worth

Three Super Alt-Arts on the shelf, none sold. The money that has moved is all Goku.

6 min readBy Mika Santos

Our callThe FB11 chase card with real sales is the Son Goku FB11-121 SCR alt art, at about $230. The Super Alt-Arts are asking prices so far, so buy the alt-art Leader you'll play as a single.

The FB11 chase cards that have actually sold are the Son Goku SCR alt art and the alt-art Leaders, led by Goku and Goku Black. The three Super Alt-Arts, the two-star cards everyone posts from their boxes, have no TCGplayer sale at all yet, only asks. Below the top dozen or so, Brightness of Hope is a bulk set, so don't open it expecting to cover the box.

FB11 chase cards: the Bardock, Son Goku and Shallet Super Alt-Art SCRs from Brightness of Hope side by side

Brightness of Hope came out October 16, 2026, so these are first-week prices from TCGplayer's October 21 file. They'll move as more boxes get opened.

Bar chart of the 15 most expensive FB11 Brightness of Hope singles by TCGplayer market price on October 21, 2026, led by the Son Goku FB11-121 alt-art SCR, then the Son Goku and Goku Black alt-art Leaders and the Bulma alt art Chart: ShonenTCG. The cliff is steep. Of the 156 FB11 singles with a market price, 13 sell for $50 or more and 120 sell for under five dollars. A regular Super Rare goes for about two dollars, and a regular Leader for a quarter. Hoard's FB11 page, which tracks the same TCGplayer figures, lists the same top three.

The Super Alt-Arts: asks, not prices

Bandai's product page promised that "all 3 SCR cards get" super alt-art versions, and they're the cards that make a box opening video. None of them has a TCGplayer market price yet. What's there are listings: the cheapest Son Goku Super Alt-Art is $3,500, Bardock's is $1,600 and Shallet's is $1,210, with one Shallet listed as high as $6,000. Until a few sell, nobody can tell you what they're worth, and an asking price only tells you what a seller hopes to get.

They're also genuinely hard to pull. When one player showed off two from release day, u/mboyd888 replied: "Congrats man, 2 two stars in 3 boxes is almost unheard of." Bandai's product page doesn't list pull rates, so that's the closest thing to odds we have.

Alt-art Leaders: the chase you can actually play

TCGplayer photos of FB11 alt-art cards: the Son Goku FB11-001 and Goku Black FB11-049 Leaders, the Shallot and Giblet FB11-073 Leader and the Bulma FB11-094 Rare Card photos via TCGplayer product listings (FB11-001, FB11-049, FB11-073 and FB11-094 alt arts).

All five Leaders got alt arts, and all five have sold, so these prices come from real sales rather than hopeful listings. The Goku Leader leads, Goku Black is close behind, and the Shallot and Giblet Leader sits a bit lower. The regular versions of the same Leaders cost pocket change, so the whole price is the art. For u/DadsAppleCrumble, after three boxes, the Goku was the point: "Got my chase L SS3 goku! 1 of my fave cards of the set".

The surprise is Bulma. Her alt art is a Rare that sells for more than three of the alt-art Leaders, and it's a deck card, not a binder card: on play, "If your Leader is <Shallot/Giblet> or , look at 4 cards from the top of your deck" and grab a Saiyan. Our Shallot deck guide covers why that matters. Expect her price to track how much that deck gets played.

The SCRs, for play

If you want the SCRs to play rather than to frame, the regular prints are cheap. The Son Goku FB11-121 is the priciest of the three, and a playset of four still comes to about $130. Its On Play gives an opposing Battle Card "-20000 power for the turn," and it draws when it wins a battle. Bardock's SCR gives your Leader two Ki on play, and Shallet is the Fusion Evolve payoff of the Shallot and Giblet deck. Both sell for well under twenty dollars.

Should you open FB11 for these?

A booster box sells for about $194 on TCGplayer and a single pack for about $9, nearly twice the $4.99 MSRP. Hoard adds up the top five cards and puts them next to the box price, but warns that's "a rough signal, not pull-rate odds." The honest version: a box gives you a handful of hits, and most of them are regular alt arts. Of the 25 alt arts outside the Leaders and SCRs, 19 sell for under $40, so a typical box's hits don't add up to what you paid for it. As u/AnimeCardz told a first-time opener, "2-3 big hits per box is completely normal for English booster boxes."

Supah Playaz opened an English box in release week, if you want to see what a typical one turns up:

Our take

Open FB11 because you like opening Dragon Ball. If there's a Leader you're going to play, buy its alt art now or after the next price dip: it's a known number, and opening for one specific Leader alt art is the expensive way to get it. Leave the Super Alt-Arts alone until they've actually sold a few times. A $3,500 ask with no sales behind it is a wish, not a price. And if you pulled a Bulma alt art and don't play Shallot, it's the best single to sell from the set right now.

How we checked this: on October 22, 2026 we pulled TCGplayer market prices for all 162 FB11 singles and the sealed products from the October 21 daily file (tcgcsv.com), compared the top cards with Hoard's FB11 page, and checked card text and set details on Bandai's official Fusion World site.
