Dragon Ball Fusion World FB11 Leaders: All 5 Revealed
Five leaders, one shared draw, and only one of them asks you to give something up.
Our callStart with Trunks if you want the easiest Awaken, or Goku Black if you want the most cards; build Shallot only if you're ready to play without cheap Evolve cards.
The Dragon Ball Fusion World FB11 leaders are Son Goku, Trunks and Gohan from the Future timeline, Goku Black, Shallot/Giblet and Bardock, and Brightness of Hope is out in English today, October 16. If you're picking one to build, Trunks Awakens the easiest and Goku Black draws the most once it flips. Shallot is the odd one: it's the only leader that tells you what you can't play.

All five share one line you'll stop noticing after a few games: [When Attacking] Draw 1 card, printed on the front and the back. So the real choice comes down to two things: when each one flips and what the back side does.
FB11 leaders at a glance
| Leader | Color | Awakens when | Awakened side does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Son Goku FB11-001 | Red | Life 4 or less, or 2+ energy and an [Evolve] card in play | Moves an opponent's attack onto your [Evolve] card, once per turn |
| Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future FB11-025 | Blue | 2+ total Ki in your Battle Area (draws 1) | +1 Ki to a Future card, then returns a cost 3 or less Future card to hand |
| Goku Black FB11-049 | Green | Goku Black or Zamasu in play and 2+ total Ki (draws 1) | On attack: draw 2, discard 1, +1 Ki to a Goku Black and a Zamasu |
| Shallot/Giblet FB11-073 | Yellow | Life 5 or less | With Shallot and Giblet in play, 2 energy back to Active |
| Bardock FB11-097 | Black | Bardock itself has 2+ Ki (draws 1) | -1 Ki to fire a cost 2 Bardock's Crew card's When KO'd from the Drop |
Every leader is 15000 power on the front and 20000 on the back. The set has 123 card types, 12 cards a pack, and a $4.99 pack MSRP. A sealed box was selling for about $215 on TCGplayer on release day. Japan has had the set since September 12, so the Japanese meta is already a month ahead of ours.
Son Goku: the bodyguard leader

Son Goku flips when your life drops to 4 or less, or as soon as you have 2 energy and an [Evolve] card on the board. That second route means a Red Evolve deck can flip on its second turn without taking a hit.
The back side is a bodyguard. When an opponent's Battle Card attacks, you can move that attack onto one of your [Evolve] cards. Bandai's Q&A confirms two useful details: you can pick an Active Mode card, and if you decline, the once-per-turn isn't used up. We'd build this one around a few big Evolve cards that can survive the hits you redirect into them.
Goku Black: the card-draw leader

Goku Black needs a Goku Black or Zamasu in play plus 2 Ki on your board, then draws a card as it flips. Once flipped, every attack draws 2 and discards 1, then puts a Ki on one Goku Black and one Zamasu. No other FB11 leader turns attacks into this many cards, and the Ki it hands out feeds the next turn. It's the leader we'd expect to age best.
Trunks, Shallot and Bardock

Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future (Blue) flips at 2 total Ki anywhere in your Battle Area, the easiest condition in the set. The back side gives a Future card +1 Ki every turn and bounces a cheap Future card back to hand to replay it. In a September thread on r/DBSFusionWorld, one player running it wrote: "I really like going 2nd because you can awaken turn 2". The same thread had the worry we'd share: "What do you against boss monsters or leaders with 25k base?" Trunks wins by grinding, not by hitting hard.
Shallot/Giblet (Yellow) is the commitment pick. The moment it's your Leader, you can't play cards with a cost of 4 or less and [Evolve] for the whole game, and Bandai's Q&A says a card you declare at cost 5 that drops to 4 fails and goes to the Drop. It flips at 5 life, then with both Shallot and Giblet in play turns 2 energy back to Active, at the price of no Battle Cards costing 4 or less that turn. It's a ramp deck for expensive Evolve cards and nothing else. Skip it unless that's exactly what you want.
Bardock (Black) is the only leader that counts Ki on itself. At 2 Ki it flips, and from then on you can spend 1 Ki to fire the When KO'd skill of a cost 2 Bardock's Crew card in your Drop, then put that card on the bottom of your deck. One trap from the Q&A: if the card you fire (Borgos (Great Ape), for example) has its own Ki cost, you still pay it.

Our take
Pick Trunks if you want a leader that does its thing on turn 2 every game, and Goku Black if you'd rather draw your way into a long game. Son Goku is solid in a Red Evolve shell you probably already own. Bardock is fun but asks for a specific crew of cards, and Shallot asks you to give up a whole slice of your card pool. We'd build those two second.
The full card-by-card picture is in our FB11 complete set guide. For how the last set's leaders turned out, see the FB10 Goku Ki deck guide and the FB10 Boujack deck guide.
How we checked this: every leader read front and back on Bandai's English card database on October 16, 2026, with the FB11 Q&A entries on each card page; set details from Bandai's English and Japanese product pages; box price from TCGplayer market data on release day.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many leaders does FB11 have? Five: Son Goku (FB11-001, Red), Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future (FB11-025, Blue), Goku Black (FB11-049, Green), Shallot/Giblet (FB11-073, Yellow) and Bardock (FB11-097, Black).
Is FB11 out yet? Yes. Brightness of Hope came out in English on October 16, 2026. The Japanese version has been out since September 12, 2026.
What is the Shallot leader's restriction in FB11? From the moment it's your Leader, you can't play cards with a cost of 4 or less and [Evolve] for the whole game. Its awakened energy skill also stops you playing Battle Cards with an original cost of 4 or less for that turn.
Do all FB11 leaders draw cards? Yes. All five print [When Attacking] Draw 1 card on both sides, so the difference between them is how they Awaken and what the back side does.
