FB11 Shallot Deck Guide: Energy Acceleration Build
A leader that bans your cheap Evolve cards all game, and pays you back in energy.
Our callOnly for players who enjoy deckbuilding puzzles: the cheap-Evolve ban costs real tools, and the energy payoff needs Shallot and Giblet both on board after he Awakens.
Skip Shallot unless you want a deckbuilding puzzle. The catch any FB11 Shallot deck guide has to lead with: the moment Shallot/Giblet (FB11-073) enters your Leader Area, you can't play cards that have Evolve and cost 4 or less for the rest of the game. What you get back, once he flips into Shallet, is two energy stood back up every turn, as long as a Shallot and a Giblet are both on your board.

TL;DR: Shallot/Giblet (FB11-073, Yellow) bans playing Evolve cards that cost 4 or less, all game. He draws 1 When Attacking on both sides and Awakens at 5 or less life. Awakened, once per turn with Shallot and Giblet in your Battle Area, switch 2 energy to Active, after which you can't play Battle Cards with original cost 4 or less that turn. Build around the six cost-2 Shallot and Giblet cards and expensive payoffs like FB11-122 Shallet.

How the leader actually plays
The ban. The front side's [Auto] fires when the card is placed in your Leader Area: no cards with a cost of 4 or less and [Evolve], for the game. Bandai's own product page says "original energy cost", but the printed card says "cost", and the FB11 Q&A rules on the cost at the moment you play. A cost-5 Evolve card that an opponent's effect knocks down to 4 fails and goes to your Drop. Plan around that if your list leans on cost-5 Evolve cards.
The draw. [When Attacking] draw 1, on both sides. Like every FB11 leader, he's never short on cards.
The flip. Life at 5 or less, nothing else. He's the only FB11 leader with a pure life-total Awaken, so you can't build your way into it; you take hits. Two of the deck's own cards help: FB11-086 and FB11-087 each move a card from your life to your hand on play.
The payoff. Shallet's [Activate Main] once per turn: with a Shallot and a Giblet in your Battle Area, switch 2 energy to Active Mode. Then you can't play Battle Cards with original cost 4 or less for the rest of the turn. So play your cheap pieces first, then activate, then spend the two energy on something big.
Shallot himself isn't new to Fusion World. Bandai introduced him as the Dragon Ball Legends original character in the FS09 starter deck, as a Black leader; FB11-073 is a Yellow leader that pairs him with Giblet.
The FB11 core package
These are the Yellow FB11 cards we'd start from. Copy counts are ours, not a tournament list.
| Card | Cost | What it does for this deck | Our copies |
|---|---|---|---|
| FB11-085 Shallot (UC) | 2 | On Play: add a cost-2 Giblet from your Drop to hand | 4 |
| FB11-086 Shallot (R) | 2 | Life to hand, then look at 4 for a Saiyan-only Battle Card costing 2 to 6 | 4 |
| FB11-087 Shallot (R) | 2 | Life to hand, rest an opposing Battle Card; rest a Giblet to draw 1 each turn | 4 |
| FB11-081 Giblet (C) | 2 | Rest up to 2 opposing Battle Cards costing 4 or less | 4 |
| FB11-082 Giblet (C) | 2 | Draw 2, discard 2 | 4 |
| FB11-083 Giblet (R) | 2 | Rest a Shallot: your Leader gets +5000 for the turn | 4 |
| FB11-084 Giblet (SR) | 5 | Evolve card the ban doesn't touch (cost 5); locks a rested opposing card down for their next turn | 3 |
| FB11-122 Shallet (SCR) | 6 | Fusion Evolve onto a rested Shallot and Giblet of equal cost; 35000, stands itself back up once per turn | 2 |
Every Giblet discounts itself. FB11-081, 082 and 083 all cost 1 less from hand while you have a Shallot but no Giblet in play, which is exactly the board state you're trying to fix.
FB11-122 is the dream turn. Rest a cost-2 Shallot and a cost-2 Giblet, Fusion Evolve for 2, and you have a 35000-power body that can pay 1 to stand itself back up when it attacks. At cost 6 it sits well clear of both the game-long ban and the Awakened turn lock.

Opening-hand odds (our math)
Fusion World decks run 50 to 60 cards with up to four copies of a card number, you start with six cards, and each player may redraw once. With twelve Shallot and twelve Giblet in a 50-card deck, the exact odds of opening with at least one of each are 66.7%, or 88.9% if you redraw every hand that's missing one. FB11-085 covers some of the rest by fishing a Giblet out of the Drop.
That's the number that sells the deck to us: both names are easy to assemble, so the only real gate on the payoff is your life total.
Matchups and sequencing
Against wide boards, FB11-081 rests two cost-4-or-less attackers, FB11-087 rests another, and FB11-084 keeps a rested card from standing up next turn. That's how you take hits on your terms while life drops toward five.
Against slower decks, you can afford to dig: FB11-082 filters, FB11-086 searches, FB11-087's draw ability keeps going every turn once a Giblet is out.
On the Awakened turn, the order is fixed: cheap Battle Cards first, then the leader's energy switch, then the big play. Do it the other way round and the turn lock stops your two-drops.
Our take
We wouldn't make Shallot your first FB11 deck. The ban sounds scary, but the FB11 Shallot and Giblet cards are almost all cost 2 without Evolve, so it barely touches the core; what it really costs you is older cheap Evolve cards you might have borrowed. The weak spot is the pure life-total flip, which hands the opponent control of when your engine starts. Pick him if you like the puzzle; skip him if you want to set your own pace.
How we checked this
Every card here was read on Bandai's official Fusion World card database on October 14, 2026, along with the FB11 Q&A ruling on the Evolve ban, the FB11 and FS09 product pages, and the basic-rules FAQ for deck size, copy limit and the opening redraw. The opening-hand figure is exact hypergeometric math we did for a 50-card deck; we haven't played the deck, and no English FB11 results exist yet. Twenty-seven sources in total.
