Dragon Ball Fusion World FB11 Set Guide: Brightness of Hope

Five Saiyan leaders, every text already public. Choose your deck before you open a pack.

Our callBuy for a leader, not a box: Goku Black and Bardock have the strongest plans on paper, and Shallot is only for players who accept its Evolve lockout.

The short Dragon Ball Fusion World FB11 set guide: pick your leader before you pick a box. Brightness of Hope launches October 16, 2026 with five Saiyan leaders whose full card texts Bandai has already posted, so nobody has to buy blind. What's confirmed is short and solid; the full rarity breakdown isn't posted yet.

TL;DR: FB11 is Brightness of Hope, releases October 16, 2026, and contains 123 card types at $4.99 per 12-card pack. All five leaders carry the Saiyan trait: Son Goku (Red), Trunks/Son Gohan Future (Blue), Goku Black (Green), Shallot/Giblet (Yellow) and Bardock (Black). Every one draws a card When Attacking on its front side, so the Awaken condition is what sets them apart. Shallot is the highest-commitment design, locking you out of cheap Evolve cards for the whole game in exchange for energy acceleration. Bardock's plan revolves around Bardock's Crew recursion from the Drop Area.

Dragon Ball Fusion World FB11 set guide: quick answer

Brightness of Hope is a Saiyan-themed set: all five leaders carry the Saiyan trait, and the set adds collaboration cards from the mobile game Dragon Ball Legends. All leader card texts are publicly available from Bandai, so there's no guessing what each deck wants to do. The set releases October 16 at an MSRP of $4.99 per 12-card pack.

What's in the set: confirmed facts

Bandai's official product page for Brightness of Hope confirms three things directly:

  • Set name: Dragon Ball Fusion World Booster Pack Brightness of Hope (FB11)
  • Release date: October 16, 2026
  • Total card types: 123

Per-pack MSRP is $4.99 USD for 12 cards. Bandai hasn't posted a full rarity breakdown. The product page does show that the three Secret Rares, FB11-121 to FB11-123, each get a super alt-art version, and that every Leader and SR card has an alt-art version too.

The set also crosses over with Dragon Ball Legends. Bandai says each color has a special collaboration card from the mobile game, and the yellow Beerus card carries a Legends collaboration design. The yellow leader pair, Shallot and Giblet, are Legends characters.

Reveal season is over. Bandai's English account put the release date on its battle-card reveals in August, and db-fusionworld reported on August 29 that the full card list was out. Asia got the set first, on September 12:

The five confirmed leaders

All five leader card texts come from Bandai's official Brightness of Hope product page. Here's each one's identity and game plan:

Son Goku (FB11-001, Red): Like every FB11 leader, draws a card When Attacking on his front side. Awakens when life drops to 4 or less, or once he has 2 energy and an Evolve card in his Battle Area. Awakened ability: once per turn, redirect an opponent's attack onto an Evolve card you control. The game plan is to build an Evolve board that absorbs attacks while generating card advantage through the draw-on-attack engine.

Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future (FB11-025, Blue): Awakens once total Ki across your Battle Area reaches 2 or more, drawing a card on flip. Awakened ability: add 1 Ki to a Future-named Battle Card once per turn, then optionally bounce a Future-named card costing 3 or less back to hand. This is a Future-tribal Ki engine that rewards stacking your board with Future-named pieces.

Goku Black (FB11-049, Green): Awakens once he has a Goku Black or Zamasu card in his Battle Area alongside 2 or more Ki energy markers. Awakened: attacking draws 2 and discards 1, then adds Ki to up to one Goku Black and one Zamasu you control. A snowballing plan built around flooding the field with Ki-loaded Goku Black copies.

Shallot/Giblet (FB11-073, Yellow): The set's highest-commitment leader. Standing restriction the whole game: you can't play cards with Evolve and a cost of 4 or less. Awakens at 5 or less life. Awakened: switch 2 energy to Active Mode once per turn if both Shallot and Giblet are in your Battle Area, at the cost of skipping cheap Battle Card plays that same turn. You give up the format's most common low-cost tools in exchange for consistent energy acceleration into expensive cards.

Bardock (FB11-097, Black): Awakens when Bardock himself holds 2 or more Ki, drawing a card on flip. Awakened ability: pay 1 Ki off Bardock to activate a cost-2 Bardock's Crew card's When KO'd skill directly from your Drop Area, then bury it at the bottom of your deck. This is a recursion engine that needs Bardock's Crew support cards with When KO'd text to function, which makes him the most set-dependent leader of the five.

Step-by-Step: Getting started with FB11

1. Know your leader before you buy. All five have confirmed card texts. Read them above and pick the one whose plan you actually want to play, not just the one that looks flashiest. Shallot's restriction is real and changes what you can put in your deck.

2. Start with a few packs, then go to singles. Bandai's MSRP is $4.99 for a 12-card pack. If you're targeting a specific leader, buying singles once prices settle after launch is cheaper than opening sealed product to chase one card.

3. Check what transfers from FB10. Fusion World is a rotating-adjacent format where older cards stay legal. Check which FB10 support cards work with your chosen FB11 leader before spending on new singles. The Dragon Ball Fusion World FB10 Vegito deck guide and the Boujack guide both cover energy curves and support structures that overlap with FB11 leaders.

4. Use the Ki mechanic page before launch. Both Goku Black and Trunks/Gohan operate off Ki energy markers. If you haven't played a Ki-heavy deck before, the Ki mechanic explained guide is worth reading before you sit down with either leader on day one.

5. Hold off on grading until price discovery settles. Secret Rare prices in Fusion World move fast post-launch. Sending cards for grading in launch week means paying peak prices for raw cards, then waiting weeks while the market may drop. Unless you're confident a specific card is a long-term hold, wait for prices to settle.

Tips

  • All five leaders share the same When Attacking draw on their front side, so the Awaken condition and the flipped ability are what separate them. Don't pick a leader on the draw alone.
  • Shallot's restriction applies from the start of the game, not just after Awakening. Deck-building with Shallot means auditing every Evolve card in your list before you ever shuffle up.
  • Bardock needs cost-2 Bardock's Crew cards with When KO'd text sitting in the Drop Area. The full card list is out, so count how many of those your list actually runs before you commit.
  • Pre-release events, if your local game store runs them, let you play with sealed product and keep what you open. It's a lower-pressure way to handle launch week before the secondary market sets prices.

Key Takeaways

  • FB11 Brightness of Hope releases October 16, 2026, with 123 card types at $4.99 per 12-card pack.
  • All five leaders have confirmed card texts: Son Goku (Red), Trunks/Gohan Future (Blue), Goku Black (Green), Shallot/Giblet (Yellow) and Bardock (Black).
  • Every leader draws a card When Attacking on its front side; the Awaken conditions are what lead to completely different game plans.
  • Shallot's standing Evolve restriction is the set's most unusual design. It requires building around it from the start.
  • Bardock's recursion plan depends on Bardock's Crew support with When KO'd text, making him the most set-dependent of the five leaders.

Who are the FB11 leaders? All five carry the Saiyan trait: Son Goku (Red, FB11-001), Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future (Blue, FB11-025), Goku Black (Green, FB11-049), Shallot/Giblet (Yellow, FB11-073), and Bardock (Black, FB11-097). Their full card texts are on Bandai's official card list.

Is FB11 good for new players? FB11 is accessible enough for new players. On leader text alone, Goku Black's Ki-snowball plan and Bardock's recursion engine look like they could match or beat FB10's top leaders. Son Goku's Evolve redirect gives him a defensive ceiling that could push him up once players figure out the supporting cards.
