FB11 Trunks Deck Guide: Blue Future Ki Bounce Build
Going second, this leader flips on turn 2 almost every game. Going first, it's a coin flip.
Our callBuild it if you can get FP-102 and you're happy to go second: the list Awakens by turn 2 in 93.5% of our simulated second-player games, but 49.8% going first.
The FB11 Trunks deck wants to go second. In our 100,000-game simulation of a real 50-card list, Trunks : Future/Son Gohan : Future (FB11-025) Awakens by your second turn in 93.5% of games going second and only 49.8% going first. Pick second when you win the roll, and get the FP-102 promo before you build. Without it, the going-first number falls to 22.4%.

TL;DR: Blue leader, 15000 power front, 20000 back, draws 1 When Attacking on both sides. It flips once your Battle Area holds 2 or more Ki in total. Awakened, it gives a Future card +1 Ki once per turn and then returns a cost-3-or-less Future card to your hand, so you replay On Play Ki cards and trigger every "when removed by your skill" bonus. The list below is Unbound TCG's, and it runs eight promos.

The decklist
This is "Bleu Cheese Trunks", built by Unbound TCG and posted to DeckPlanet by MTPeterson (last edited October 27, 2026; we checked all 50 cards against our October 23 copy on October 29 and they match). It's a creator list, not a tournament result. We haven't changed a card.
- 4x Mai : Future (FB11-046)
- 4x Bulma : Future (FB11-040)
- 4x Trunks : Future (FB11-035)
- 4x Son Gohan : Future (FB11-030)
- 4x Son Gohan : Future (FP-102)
- 4x Son Gohan : Future (FB11-033)
- 4x Son Gohan : Future (FB11-032)
- 4x Trunks : Future (FP-098)
- 2x Trunks : Future (FB10-034)
- 4x Trunks : Future (FB11-036)
- 3x Trunks : Future (FB11-037)
- 4x Son Gohan : Future (FB11-031)
- 3x Desperate Strike (FB11-048)
- 2x Time Machine (FB01-065)
That's 50 cards, the minimum. Fusion World decks run 50 to 60 with up to four of each card number.
Why each card, and why that many
| Card | Cost | Job in this deck | Copies |
|---|---|---|---|
| FB11-046 Mai : Future | 1 | With the Trunks leader, look at 4 and take a Future Battle Card. Turn-one dig | 4 |
| FB11-040 Bulma : Future | 1 | Rest her: draw 1, discard 1, then a Future card that already has Ki gets +2 Ki | 4 |
| FB11-035 Trunks : Future | 2 | Gives itself +1 Ki. Later, remove 2+ Ki and bottom it to draw and play a Trunks costing Ki + 1 | 4 |
| FB11-030 Son Gohan : Future | 2 | 20000 for 2; +1 Ki to a Battle Card When Attacking | 4 |
| FP-102 Son Gohan : Future | 2 | +2 Ki to another Future card on play; +10000 when your card is removed by your skill | 4 |
| FB11-033 Son Gohan : Future | 3 | Plays a cost-2-or-less Future card from hand, then +1 Ki. Two bodies for 3 | 4 |
| FB11-032 Son Gohan : Future | 3 | +2 Ki on play; draws when your card is removed by your skill | 4 |
| FP-098 Trunks : Future | 4 | 25000; spend 1 Ki for +15000 in battle; draws when your card is removed by your skill | 4 |
| FB10-034 Trunks : Future | 3 | The cost-3 target for FB11-035's 2-Ki line; stops a cost-4-or-less card attacking next turn | 2 |
| FB11-036 Trunks : Future | 4 | 30000; When Attacking, bounces up to two opposing cost-3-or-less cards | 4 |
| FB11-037 Trunks : Future | 5 | +1 Ki to every other Saiyan or Earthling card; stands back up, +5000 per Ki spent | 3 |
| FB11-031 Son Gohan : Future | 7 | Super Combo; +10000 combo power when used from hand on the opponent's turn | 4 |
| FB11-048 Desperate Strike | 1 | +15000 in battle, +10000 more if your card was removed by your skill this turn | 3 |
| FB01-065 Time Machine | 1 | Look at your deck's bottom card and play it if it's a cost-2 Trunks : Future | 2 |
The Ki starters get the full four. FB11-035, FP-102 and FB11-032 are the three cards that put 2 Ki on the board by themselves or with one partner, and the leader can't flip without 2. In the r/DBSFusionWorld FB11 Trunks thread, u/ovenwolv put the risk plainly: "it seems crazy dependent on that 2c Ki Trunks."
The cost-1 pair are there for turn one. Going first you have one energy. Mai finds the next Ki piece, and Bulma turns a card with 1 Ki into a card with 3.
Two FB10-034 is a math choice. FB11-035 plays a Trunks : Future that costs exactly one more than the Ki you removed; Bandai's FB11 Q&A (Q629) rules out anything cheaper. Remove 2 and only a cost-3 Trunks qualifies, which in this list means FB10-034. Remove 3 and you get FB11-036 or FP-098; remove 4 and you get FB11-037.
Time Machine pairs with FB11-035. When FB11-035 sends itself to the bottom of your deck, Time Machine can play it straight back, unless Mai has put cards under it since. u/Brilliant_Wolverine7, who runs the deck, calls it "essential".
Four Super Combo is the cap. FB11-031 is the deck's defence: 20000 combo power from hand on the opponent's turn, and the rules allow four Super Combo cards per deck.
Your energy curve, going first and second
Both players start with six cards and may redraw once. You draw every turn and may put one card from hand into your Energy Area. The player going second also gets one energy marker, and the player going first can't attack on turn one. That extra energy on turn one is why the turn-two numbers below split so far apart.
| Turn | Going first | Going second |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 energy: Mai or Bulma. No attack | 2 energy: FB11-035 (1 Ki), or Mai plus Bulma |
| 2 | 2 energy: FP-102 onto Mai or Bulma, or FB11-035 then rest Bulma | 2 energy, 3 if you kept the marker: FP-102, rest Bulma onto FB11-035, or (with the marker) FB11-032. Awaken |
| 3 | 3 energy: FB11-032 or FB11-033. Awaken almost every game | 3 energy, 4 with the marker: the leader's return loop starts |

By turn three, the list flips in 98.7% of games going first and 99.3% going second, so the difference sits entirely on turn two. u/Brilliant_Wolverine7 says the same from the table, in the comment linked above: "I really like going 2nd because you can awaken turn 2 and get a 4 cost promo trunks out to generate hand."
Step-by-Step: the Awakened loop
1. Put Ki on a Future card. Use the leader's Activate Main once per turn: +1 Ki to a Battle Card with Future in its name.
2. Return a cost-3-or-less Future card. Same skill, second half. Return FB11-032 and it draws you a card on the way out (Q647). FP-098 on the board draws too, FP-102 gets +10000, and Desperate Strike gets its extra +10000 for the turn.
3. Replay it for more Ki. FB11-032 comes back for +2 Ki, FP-102 for +2 on another card. That Ki pays for FB11-036's cost cut, FP-098's +15000 and FB11-037's stand-up.
4. Turn cost into bounce. FB11-036 can spend 1 Ki to cut an opposing card's cost by 3, then its attack bounces up to two cards costing 3 or less. A cost-6 card becomes a cost-3 card for the turn. FB11-033's attack cuts another 1.
Matchups, and the sample behind them
We have one official result, a few player reports and no win rates, so read this section as early signals.
Bandai's own event data. At the Japanese Championship 26-27 Wave 2 area qualifier in Kyoto on September 26, Bandai's stream showed one Trunks : Future deck among the Top 32. Gogeta : BR had 10, and one Son Goku build had 9. That Trunks player, key, met a Blue Son Goku/Vegeta/Vegito deck in the first round of the Top 32 and lost. One game proves nothing about the matchup; we include it because it's Bandai's own data.
Vegito. u/Brilliant_Wolverine7 again: "It hurts most against Vegito with the 5 cost evolve, that match up feels extremely rough with Trunks." That lines up with the Kyoto result, though both are tiny samples.
The 25000-power leaders. In a thread titled "Fb11 Trunks Vs BR Gogeta", u/FadeToBlackSun wrote: "I've had nothing but Ls against the 25k leaders." Your cheap Battle Cards top out at 20000 power, so early attacks into a bigger leader need FP-098's +15000, a Desperate Strike or a combo to land.
Wide, cheap boards. This is where FB11-036 earns its four copies: two bounces per attack against cost-3-or-less cards.
Unbound TCG's own deck profile for this list, from September 17.
Where the promos come from
FP-098 is one of five card types in Tournament Pack 12, the participation prize at Store Tournament 2026 Vol. 4 (October 1 to December 31) and Ultimate Battle 2026 Vol. 4 (November 6 to December 6). Each entrant gets one pack, and Bandai's pages don't say how many cards are in it, so plan on several events or a trade for four copies.
FP-102 is harder. Bandai's English card page lists it as a Release Event Participation prize, and the FB11 Release Event ran October 16 to 22. In Japan it was a V Jump magazine extra. If you can't get four, our simulation says swap in FB11-045 Mai : Future, and expect to Awaken by turn two going first only 22.4% of the time.
Our take
We'd build it, with two conditions. First, own the FP-102s; they're what makes the going-first turn two work. Second, take the second turn whenever you can, because the energy marker is worth more to this leader than the first attack. Skip it if your local scene is mostly Gogeta : BR, since that's where the deck's 20000-power attackers come up short and the community reports line up with that.
How we checked this
Every card text was read on Bandai's official Fusion World card database on October 23, 2026, with the FB11 Q&A (Q629, Q647), the basic-rules FAQ for deck size, and the comprehensive rules v1.08 for setup, the energy marker and the turn-one attack ban. The decklist was copied from DeckPlanet. The Kyoto numbers come from Bandai Japan's official stream: the Top 32 deck distribution and the first-round match. Forty sources in total.
The Awaken odds come from our simulation, scripts/sims/dbfw-fb11-trunks-awaken-odds.py: 100,000 games per row, seed 20261023, with the full redraw and turn-by-turn energy. It ignores FB11-030's When Attacking Ki, so treat the numbers as a floor. It also reads cards without "other than this card" as able to target themselves. We haven't played the deck.
