The Lorcana Wilds Unknown Set Championship meta is readable now. The season ran from late May through June 2026 and enough events have finished to draw conclusions, even if the picture is quieter than some of the early inkDecks projections suggested.
Update (2026-09-07): Attack of the Vine (Set 13) is now legal in Core Constructed and has reshuffled the field described below (see the current meta report linked further down). This article is kept as a record of the pre-Set-13 Wilds Unknown-only window.
Four store-level events ran June 6 to 15, with attendance from 14 to 26 players. Amethyst Sapphire Evasive holds 18% meta share across Set Championship results, the single most-played archetype in Core. Three other decks sit close behind it. Nothing has cracked 20%. That's a competitive format, not a solved one.
The Dueler's Guild ran the largest event June 6 and 7, pulling 26 players alongside a simultaneous Crowns Quest. CardArt Sunnyvale followed on June 7 with 22. DZ Comics and Games and Gemini Games both ran events the following weekend with smaller fields.
The archetype spread at each event tracked closely with the inkDecks metagame report for the period. Evasive shells took the top tables. Set 12 added low-cost unblockable questers and support Items that keep the engine efficient, so the card pool basically pushes players toward the evasive axis whether they plan for it or not. If you can't answer early evasive threats, the lore count gets away from you fast.
Amethyst Sapphire Evasive at 18% is the format's reference point. It floods the board with characters opponents can't challenge without matching the Evasive keyword, then banks lore faster than they can respond. Sapphire ramp and protection keep the pace up through mid-game. You'll see this deck at the top tables more than anything else.
Amber Emerald Aggro is just behind at 16%. It races the lore counter with wide board pressure before control pieces come online. Against Evasive, the matchup is draw-dependent: when Amber Emerald lands its sequence, the evasive player doesn't always have time to stabilize. It's the most tournament-ready aggro option right now.
Amber Amethyst Evasive at 15% is a faster, less consistent cousin of the Amethyst Sapphire build. It gives up some of Sapphire's stability for raw speed, sometimes closing games a turn or two earlier. Players who want a more aggressive Evasive slant prefer it over the pure Sapphire shell.
Emerald Sapphire Control holds 14% and has the format's best disruption package. It gives up early lore and recovers through removal, bounce, and card advantage. It can navigate the evasive field, but it takes more preparation than the aggro options and punishes you harder for misplays.
For full build breakdowns, the Disney Lorcana Wilds Unknown Best Decks guide covers each archetype with decklists and card-by-card analysis.

Four archetypes sharing over 60% of the field with nothing past 20% is about as healthy as a meta gets. Preparation and matchup knowledge matter more here than raw deck choice.
The practical read: pick one of the four main archetypes and learn its lines against Amethyst Sapphire Evasive specifically. That's who you're going to face. The Disney Lorcana Complete Guide covers format rules and ink color basics if you're new to competitive play.
This snapshot is now historical: Attack of the Vine (Set 13) released July 24, 2026 with Monsters Inc, Up, and Turning Red themes, and it went legal in Core Constructed shortly after, moving these percentages. The four archetypes above were the last clean read on the Wilds Unknown-only configuration.
If you're building around the current Set 13 meta, the Attack of the Vine best decks report covers what replaced this field, including how Evasive and control lists adapted to the new Monsters Inc, Up, and Turning Red cards.

The Disney Lorcana Amethyst Ruby Bounce deck guide is worth a read for players who want a mid-range option that can contest both aggro and evasive matchups before the new set arrives.
Which deck leads the Lorcana Wilds Unknown Set Championship meta? Amethyst Sapphire Evasive leads Core Constructed at 18% meta share across Set Championship events from June 2026. It floods the board with unblockable questers backed by Sapphire ramp and is the deck to prepare against before any competitive event.
What format do Lorcana Set Championships use? Set Championships use Core Constructed format, which limits players to a defined window of recent sets. Wilds Unknown (Set 12) is the newest legal set in Core, and all competitive archetypes in the June 2026 season are built around or against the cards it introduced.
Is Amber Emerald Aggro competitive at Lorcana Set Championships? Yes. Amber Emerald Aggro holds 16% meta share in Core Constructed and consistently top-cuts Set Championships. It applies wide board pressure fast and punishes slower control or evasive setups before they can stabilize.
Will Attack of the Vine change the Lorcana Set Championship meta? Attack of the Vine (Set 13, releasing July 24 2026) will enter Core Constructed and is expected to shift the meta once it becomes legal for competitive play. Expect the current archetypes to evolve as new cards from Monsters Inc, Up, and Turning Red themes are added.
How many players attend a Lorcana Set Championship? Store-level Set Championships in the Wilds Unknown season have ranged from 14 to 26 players based on reported June 2026 events. Larger regional events run separately and attract bigger fields.
Where can I find Lorcana Set Championship decklists? inkDecks.com publishes full decklists for completed tournaments. Filter by event name to find Wilds Unknown Set Championship results from individual stores.
Is Emerald Sapphire Control viable in Wilds Unknown Set Championships? Emerald Sapphire Control sits at 14% meta share in Core Constructed and is a real top-cut option. It can disrupt Evasive strategies through bounce and removal, but demands more preparation and familiarity with the current card pool than aggro builds.
