Reviewing
Union Arena
This Union Arena Purple Todo deck guide covers the Jujutsu Kaisen archetype with a real official credential most coverage undersells: it won the July 31, 2026 Wave 1 Regional outright, beating three other S-tier-caliber decks in the same bracket. Here's what the deck actually does, the two Aoi Todo prints that make it work, and why community trackers still rank it a notch behind its own tournament result.
TL;DR: Purple Todo (UE03BT) officially won the July 31 Wave 1 Regional at Core TCG, its biggest confirmed EN result. The deck runs on two Aoi Todo prints: a 3-cost Rare (080) that trashes cards for repeatable Damage 2, and a 5-cost Super Rare Raid (081) that adds +2000 BP and can swap an opponent's Front Line character with their Energy Line character. Community trackers still slot it at A-tier, a notch below the community-list favorites, even after the win.
Stack Damage 2 effects so your attacks deal double the usual damage, while using Todo's swap ability to pull a key opposing character out of position at the worst possible moment. It's a tempo-and-disruption deck, not a pure beatdown list, closer in spirit to a well-timed combat trick than a straight stat race.
Both confirmed Aoi Todo prints share the same core mechanic: Damage 2, meaning that when the character deals direct damage through an attack, it deals 2 damage instead of the usual 1. That single keyword is the deck's actual win condition, it turns an otherwise normal attacking character into a clock that closes games roughly twice as fast as the board state alone would suggest.
The 3-cost Todo print: trash a card from hand to grant this character Damage 2 for the turn, plus a Color Trigger that recovers a cheap Purple character straight from the trash.
The cheaper print, Aoi Todo (UE03BT/JJK-1-080, 3-cost Rare, 3500+ BP), gets +500 BP if Takada-chan is on your field, and its Activate:Main ability lets you trash a card from hand to grant this specific character Damage 2 for the rest of the turn, once per turn. Its Color Trigger is real recovery value too: put a Purple character from your trash, with 2 or less required energy and 1 AP cost, onto your Front Line active.

Aoi Todo (UE03BT/JJK-1-081, 5-cost Super Rare, 4000+ BP) is the deck's headline card. He carries the same Damage 2 effect as the cheaper print, but his When Played ability is what actually wins games: he gains +2000 BP for the turn, and you may choose one character on the opponent's Front Line and one on their Energy Line, then swap their positions.
The 5-cost Todo Raid print: +2000 BP for the turn, plus a swap that can pull a key blocker off the Front Line right when you need the opening.
That swap is real disruption, not just a stat boost. Pulling a defensive character off the opponent's Front Line and replacing it with something from their Energy Line (typically weaker, or at least out of position) can open a lane for lethal that wouldn't otherwise exist. Sequencing that swap against an opponent who's tapped out on defensive options is the single highest-skill decision this deck asks of its pilot.
1. Mulligan for a path to either Todo print. Keep a hand with at least one cheap Purple body to hold the board early, plus a realistic route to 3 energy (the 080 print) or 5 energy (the 081 Raid payoff) within the first several turns.
2. Develop toward the 5-cost Todo in the early turns. The cheaper 080 print is useful along the way, particularly its trash-for-Damage-2 line if you're already attacking, but the deck's real plan starts once the 5-cost Raid version is live.
3. Time the swap for maximum disruption, not just tempo. Don't use Todo's position-swap the instant he resolves if a better window is coming. Watch for the turn your opponent is most committed to their Front Line, that's when pulling their blocker does the most damage to their plan.
4. Stack Damage 2 sources before a lethal turn. With both Todo prints active, or the cheaper one's Activate:Main triggered, your attacks are dealing double. Count out the math before committing to a swing, this deck closes games faster than the raw BP numbers suggest.
Respect that the deck's community reputation lags its tournament credential. Community trackers still rank Purple Todo a step behind the format's S-tier decks, even after the July 31 win. That gap is worth using to your advantage, opponents who haven't specifically prepared for the Damage 2 clock or the position swap are more common than the tier list alone would suggest.
Don't confuse this deck with the site's other Jujutsu Kaisen coverage. If you're looking at a Gojo-and-Sukuna Domain Expansion build, that's a different archetype entirely within the same card pool, not a variant of this one.
Budget-wise, both Todo prints are specific, identifiable pieces rather than a wide, expensive shopping list, a real advantage if you're building this deck fresh rather than pivoting from an existing JJK collection.
Purple Jujutsu Kaisen officially won the July 31, 2026 Wave 1 Regional at Core TCG, beating Red Kenshin (2nd), Green Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (3rd), and Yellow SAKAMOTO DAYS (4th) in the same bracket, the biggest confirmed EN result any Jujutsu Kaisen deck has posted. Community trackers haven't fully caught up: Joseph Writer Anderson's lists still slot Todo-based builds at A-tier, not S or A+, alongside the community-list favorites. That's a real gap between an official tournament credential and community reputation, and it's worth watching whether more results close it.
Is Purple Todo a good deck in Union Arena? Yes. It officially won the July 31, 2026 Wave 1 Regional at Core TCG, beating Red Kenshin, Green Bleach, and Yellow SAKAMOTO DAYS in the same bracket. Community trackers rank it a step behind on their own lists (A-tier, not S or A+), so it has a real official credential that its community reputation hasn't fully caught up to.
What is the key card in the Purple Todo deck? Aoi Todo (UE03BT/JJK-1-081), a 5-cost Super Rare Raid Character with 4000+ BP. When Played, he gains +2000 BP for the turn and may swap the positions of one opposing Front Line character with one opposing Energy Line character, real board disruption on top of a big stat line.
What does Todo's Damage 2 ability do? Both confirmed Todo prints (080 and 081) carry a Damage 2 effect: when the character deals direct damage through an attack, it deals 2 damage instead of the usual 1. That's the deck's actual win condition, closing games faster than a normal attack would.
What is the cheaper Todo print used for? Aoi Todo (UE03BT/JJK-1-080), a 3-cost Rare, gets +500 BP if you have Takada-chan in play, and its Activate:Main ability trashes a card from hand to grant Damage 2 for the turn. Its Color Trigger can also put a cheap Purple character from your trash directly onto your Front Line active, real recovery value.
How is Purple Todo different from the site's existing Gojo Control guide? They're separate archetypes within Union Arena's Jujutsu Kaisen card pool. The existing Gojo Control guide covers a Domain Expansion build around Satoru Gojo and Sukuna. Purple Todo is a different, tempo-and-disruption-focused build centered on Aoi Todo's Damage 2 and position-swap effects, and it's the one with the actual July 31 Regional win.
