OP-17 Release Date: Asia English (Philippines), US, Japan
It's out, and it isn't cheap. Packs trade at about twice the sticker price two months after launch.
Our callOP-17 has been out since August 22 in Japan and Asia and August 28 in US English; a sealed box now runs $307.34 on TCGplayer's market price, so buy singles unless you're opening for fun.
The OP-17 release date has come and gone: Japan got The World's Strongest Warriors on August 22, 2026, and so did the Philippines, which gets Bandai's English (Asia) print. In the US and Europe, English players had prereleases on August 21 and the wide release on August 28. So the question now isn't when, it's what it costs, and the answer is more than the sticker. Packs sell for about twice what Bandai lists.

Bandai lists the English booster at USD $4.99 per pack, with 131+4 card types in the set. The US and European English edition landed six days after Japan, with prereleases running a day before the Japanese launch. The Asia print didn't wait: Bandai's English (Asia) site, which also lists the official Standard Battle stores in the Philippines, gives August 22.

The chase is what holds the box price up. One Xebec card is worth roughly twenty boxes, and four more singles clear a thousand dollars. If you want one of those, buy it. If you just want to play, even the Leader alt arts sell for under $40, and our OP-17 set guide covers what each Leader does.
That price isn't a post-launch spike, either. The weekend after Japan's launch, u/Drodriguez164 wrote in an r/OnePieceTCG thread on OP-17 box prices: "Had a store tell me yesterday that we should be grateful they’re selling their OP17 box for $260 because online they are going for over $300." Two months on, the online price hasn't moved much.

What comes next

Our take
OP-17 is a set we'd buy as singles. Opening a box at about $300 is a lottery ticket for the Manga cards and the Xebec, and Bandai doesn't publish pull rates for them. Grab the Leader you want, the playset you need, and leave the sealed product to collectors who enjoy the rip.
