OP-18 Release Date: What One Piece TCG Fans Actually Know

7 min readBy Leonard LevyUpdated 2 days ago

The OP-18 release date is officially November 20, 2026, now listed on Bandai's English product page after the @ONEPIECE_tcg_EN account first announced a November window, along with the set's name, The Dominance of God, and its new Leader: Franky, finally getting his first Leader card after 18 main sets. A few card names and the full leader lineup are still retailer and community territory, not Bandai's own words yet. Here's the honest split.

What happened: OP-18 name and window confirmed

Bandai's official English social account posted two companion announcements within minutes of each other on August 23. One named the set and its release window:

"OP-18 features 2 colossal characters illustrated by the legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano! OPCG BOOSTER PACK -THE DOMINANCE OF GOD- [OP-18] releases November 2026!"

The second confirmed the new Leader directly, no leak required:

"Nico Robin returns as a Leader in EB-05, and Franky gets his first ever Leader card in OP-18! OPCG EXTRA BOOSTER PACK -ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol.2- [EB-05] releases October 2026, and OPCG BOOSTER PACK -THE DOMINANCE OF GOD- [OP-18] releases November 2026!"

Between those two posts: the set's name, the release month, Yoshitaka Amano illustrating two special cards, and Franky as the confirmed new Leader. The Franky post also carried the card itself, and TCGroupAU's recap places that reveal in Bandai's ONE PIECE DAY '26 card game presentation: OP18-021, a Green/Purple Leader at 5000 power and 4 Life, whose ability turns every Stage card in hand into a +3000 Counter and lets you return one DON!! per turn to play a Stage card costing 5 or less straight from hand, tied to the Water Seven, Franky Family, and Straw Hat Crew types. A GameStop-hosted teaser trailer for the set also went up around the same time, and one frame from it shows a manga-panel-style card built around Nico Robin's "I Want to Live" moment from the Water Seven arc, cost 4, power 5000, a visual treatment that looks new for the line.

What's confirmed vs. what's still a leak

Coverage of OP-18 has moved fast since that post, and a lot of it blends confirmed detail with community speculation without saying which is which. Here's the split:

Officially confirmed by Bandai:

  • Set name: The Dominance of God (OP-18)
  • Release date: November 20, 2026, at $4.99 per pack (English product page; the X announcement in August named only November)
  • Yoshitaka Amano illustrated two special cards for the set
  • Franky is the new Leader, his first ever, card number OP18-021 (Green/Purple, 5000 power, 4 Life)
  • EB-05 "One Piece Heroines Edition vol. 2" releases October 2026 with Nico Robin returning as a Leader, a separate product confirmed in the same announcement

Reported by retailers and leak trackers, not yet Bandai-confirmed:

  • The two Amano cards being Loki and Saint Shamrock by name
  • A full six-Leader lineup and per-rarity card count

None of the second list is unreasonable, retailer supply chains often get real advance information from distributors before Bandai posts publicly, but none of it has shown up on Bandai's own accounts or product pages as of this writing. Treat it the way you'd treat any pre-order-season leak: probably directionally right, not something to lock a purchase or a deckbuilding plan around yet.

Why it matters

OP-18 lands as the next Block 5 set after OP-17, which means it stays legal alongside OP-17 under the current Standard format rotation rather than triggering a new rotation cycle on its own. The release gap keeps shrinking: OP-17 reached English stores in the US and Europe six days after Japan instead of the old two-to-three month wait, and Bandai's product pages put OP-18 a single day apart, November 21 in Japan and November 20 in English. Franky's debut as a Leader is notable on its own, too. It's his first Leader card, and his Stage-focused ability, turning every Stage card in hand into a +3000 Counter, is a new direction for the mechanic, which has mostly stayed a niche resource type until now.

Key Takeaways

  • Franky is officially confirmed as the new Leader, his first ever, card OP18-021 (Green/Purple)
  • EB-05 "Heroines Edition vol. 2" also releases October 2026, with Nico Robin returning as a Leader
  • OP-18 stays within Block 5 of the current Standard rotation alongside OP-17

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the OP-18 release date? Bandai's English product page lists November 20, 2026. The account's original August announcement only named the month.

What is OP-18 called? The Dominance of God, confirmed directly by Bandai's official English account.

Is Franky the OP-18 leader? Yes, officially confirmed by Bandai's own account on August 23. His card is OP18-021, a Green/Purple Leader at 5000 power and 4 Life, shown in that same post.

Is OP-18 a simultaneous worldwide release? Close to it. Bandai's English product page lists November 20, 2026 and its Japanese page November 21, so the two releases are a day apart instead of OP-17's week.

What is confirmed about OP-18 card art? Yoshitaka Amano, the Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D character designer, illustrated two special cards for the set. Community sources name them Loki and Saint Shamrock, but only the Amano collaboration itself is officially confirmed.

Where can I track official OP-18 news? Bandai's own @ONEPIECE_tcg_EN account on X and the official onepiece-cardgame.com product pages are the primary sources. Treat retailer blogs as secondary until they cite an official Bandai post.

Correction (2026-10-15): an earlier version said Franky's card was shown "a day later" at ONE PIECE DAY '26. The card image was already in Bandai's August 23 post. It also said Bandai hadn't published the Japan-to-English gap; Bandai's two product pages now list November 21 and November 20.

Correction (2026-10-22): one paragraph still said Bandai hadn't published OP-18's Japan-to-English gap and called OP-17's timing a "Global Simultaneous Release policy", a phrase we found on no Bandai page; both are gone. It also said Yamato got a first Leader card in OP-16, but Yamato has been a Leader since ST-09 (ST09-001), and it tagged an OP-17 Franky Character card instead of the OP-18 Leader. A related link said the banlist hadn't moved since OP-17 launched; OP14-020 Mihawk was banned on October 12.
