OP-17 Loki is the first chase card to leak for The World's Strongest Warriors, and it lines up exactly with the set's Elbaf anniversary theme. Japanese spoiler trackers report Loki, the prince of the giant nation Elbaf, as a Black Character card heading into the August 26, 2026 global launch. For the wider set picture, our OP-17 set guide covers the full reported card breakdown.
Note: These are early spoilers from Japanese trackers before Bandai's official card list. Treat the stats and rarity below as provisional until the official reveal.
Ahead of OP-17's reveal season, Japanese card trackers surfaced the first marquee card from the set: Loki, catalogued as OP17-119. The reported details:
Loki is the prince of Elbaf, which is why his appearance signals the set's theme directly. OP-17 is built around Elbaf and the Yonko (Four Emperors), and the official promo video features Luffy, Nami, and Loki together. The two confirmed leaders so far, Edward Newgate (Red) and Monkey D. Luffy (Black), sit alongside him in the early reveal picture.
A single spoiled chase card sets the tone for an entire set's hype cycle, and Loki does that for OP-17 in two ways.
First, he confirms the Elbaf direction. Until now the "World's Strongest Warriors" framing was open to interpretation. Loki anchors it to the current manga arc, which tells collectors and deck builders which characters to expect through the rest of spoiler season.
Second, the rarity. A reported SEC tied to a fan-favorite arc character is exactly the profile that drives launch-week demand. He won't be the set's absolute top pull if the reported Treasure Rare lands as expected, but SEC chase cards historically hold strong secondary value. For a sense of how concentrated chase-card value can get, the OP-16 most expensive cards breakdown shows what the previous set's top rarities reached.
Because OP-17 is the first global simultaneous release, EN players will be chasing Loki on day one alongside JP, with no import-window head start for either region.
What is Loki in OP-17? Loki is the first chase card spoiled for OP-17. Early Japanese trackers report him as a Black Character, OP17-119, with the Giants and Elbaf traits. He fits the set's Elbaf anniversary theme as the prince of the giant warrior nation.
Is OP-17 Loki a leader or a character? Loki is reported as a Character, not a leader. The confirmed OP-17 leaders so far are Edward Newgate (Red) and Monkey D. Luffy (Black). Loki sits in the Black Character pool as a deck piece.
What rarity is the OP-17 Loki card? Japanese trackers list Loki as a Secret Rare (SEC), one of the two SEC slots reported for OP-17. Expect him to be one of the set's headline chase cards short of the reported Treasure Rare.
What are the OP-17 Loki card stats? Early trackers report 6 cost and 8000 power, Black, with Giants and Elbaf traits. These come from a single spoiler source, so treat them as provisional until the official card list.
When does the OP-17 Loki card release? OP-17 releases globally on August 26, 2026, the first simultaneous JP and EN launch in One Piece TCG history. Loki releases with the set on that date.
