Red Law EB05 Decklist: The OP14 Law Build After EB-05

EB-05's Bonney made the swap Leader faster. It didn't make it win more games than it loses.

10 min readBy Kai Tanaka

Our callRed Law went 29-34-1 across 13 EB-05 lists. The full list costs about $197, and $144 of that is four Lucky.Roux and four Bonney.

The Red Law EB05 decklist to copy is fenohs's: 9th of 120 at [EB05] ChinoizeCup #125 on October 20, five wins and two losses. It runs OP14-001OP14-001 card artOP14-001Shop on TCGplayer Trafalgar Law, the Red Leader from OP-14 that swaps the base power of two of your Characters, plus EB-05's EB05-001EB05-001 card artEB05-001Shop on TCGplayer Jewelry Bonney, which every one of the 13 Red Law players in the EB-05 events ran at four copies. Those 13 lists went 29-34-1 combined. Here is how the swap turn works, the list with prices, where the 13 builds agree, the DON!! curve, and the matchup record behind our call.

How the Law swap wins a turn

Law has 5 Life, 5000 power and one effect. Bandai's card list prints it as: "[Activate: Main] [Once Per Turn] Select 2 of your {Supernovas} or {Heart Pirates} type Characters. Swap the base power of the selected Characters with each other during this turn."

That only matters because the deck's cheap Characters switch on at 5000. OP14-004OP14-004 card artOP14-004Shop on TCGplayer Cavendish, a 2-cost 2000, gains [Rush] while it has 5000 power or more. OP14-002OP14-002 card artOP14-002Shop on TCGplayer Urouge, a 3-cost 2000, draws a card and K.O.s an opposing Character with 3000 base power or less when it attacks with 5000 or more. Swap either one with a bigger Supernovas and it becomes a real attacker.

Bonney is what puts both halves on the field in one play. She costs 5 and has 7000 power, and with a Supernovas Leader her On Play draws 2 and plays up to two Characters with 2000 power or less from your hand. Once per turn she can also give an opposing Leader or Character with 6000 power or more −1000 until the end of your opponent's next End Phase. On a 5-DON!! turn the line goes like this:

  1. Play Bonney, draw 2, and put Cavendish and Urouge into play from your hand at no cost.
  2. Activate the Leader and swap Bonney's 7000 with Cavendish's 2000.
  3. Cavendish now has 7000 base power and Rush, so it attacks this turn alongside your Leader.

The swap lasts "during this turn", so Bonney is a 7000 again on your opponent's turn. Urouge waits a turn: next turn, swap him with a 5000-or-bigger Supernovas and his attack draws and removes a small Character. The 4-DON!! version of the same turn uses Eustass"Captain"Kid OP14-014, a 5000-power Blocker whose On Play plays one red Character with 2000 power or less from your hand.

We ran fenohs's list through 100,000 simulated games per line to see how often the Rush Cavendish turn actually happens. The model counts a turn as a hit when Cavendish is in hand together with Kid (4 DON!!) or Bonney (5 DON!!), and it spends spare DON!! on the deck's eight 1-cost searchers first.

Turn 464.1%71.3%36.3%42.8%
Turn 570.9%77.1%42.6%48.7%

That's what EB-05 changed. Without Bonney, the turn-3 swing happens in about a third of games. With her, it's the majority, going first or second. Turn 2 going second is Kid's job and doesn't move. The model ignores Bonney's own draw 2 and any Cavendish already on the board, so the real numbers are a little higher. Still, going first, about 3 games in 10 have no Rush Cavendish by turn 5, and those games leave you with a board of 2000s.

fenohs's 5-2 list and what it costs

This is fenohs's list from ChinoizeCup #125, a 120-player, seven-round, best-of-one event played on the simulator. It tied for the best record any Red Law player posted, with achlane's 15th-place 5-2 the same night. Prices are TCGplayer market prices for each card's original printing via tcgcsv, updated November 2.

Two cards are $144.44 of the $196.74: four Lucky.Roux at $86.76 and four Bonney at $57.68. Everything else comes to $52.30.

Bar chart of what each card line costs in fenohs's Red Law list at November 2 TCGplayer market prices: Lucky.Roux $86.76 and Bonney EB05-001 $57.68 at the top, then Luffy OP14-013 $18.32 and Stussy $12.96 Image credit: Shonen TCG chart from TCGplayer market prices via tcgcsv, November 2, 2026.

Where the 13 lists agree, and where they split

Seven cards were in all 13 lists: Luffy OP14-013, Lucky.Roux and Bonney EB05-001 at exactly four copies, then Urouge (3.85 copies on average), Cavendish (3.46), I Have a Plan... (3.38) and the 9-cost Law (2.69).

The searchers are why the deck finds its pieces. OP14-013OP14-013 card artOP14-013Shop on TCGplayer Luffy is a 1-cost that looks at 5 cards for a Supernovas card other than himself, and I Have a Plan... OP14-019 is a 1-cost Event that looks at 4 for a Supernovas or Straw Hat Crew Character, with a draw-1 Trigger. Bonney, Kid and Cavendish are all Supernovas, so eight cards dig for the swap turn.

Lucky.Roux PRB02-003 is a 4-cost 2000 Blocker whose On Play lets you trash a Character card with 6000 power or more from your hand to draw 2. This deck has plenty of those to pitch: the 9-cost OP14-009OP14-009 card artOP14-009Shop on TCGplayer Law (10000), Newgate (12000), a spare Bonney. At $21.69 a copy, it's also the priciest card in the list.

OP17-005OP17-005 card artOP17-005Shop on TCGplayer Edward.Newgate costs 10, but 4 less when your opponent has a Character with 10000 power or more. His On Play makes your monocolored Leader's base power 8000 until the end of your opponent's next End Phase. Law is mono Red, so that's an 8000 Leader for a full turn cycle. The 9-cost Law has Rush, and on your opponent's attack you can trash 2 cards to swap the base power of your Leader and one Character for that battle.

The flex slots split like this:

EB05-006EB05-006 card artEB05-006Shop on TCGplayer Miss Buckingham Stussy is the second EB-05 card here, and it does more than its +3000/−4000 suggests. Moving your top Life card to your hand for +3000 puts a 2000 Cavendish at 5000, which is enough for Rush without the Leader's swap. That's a second route to the turn the table above measures.

Koby OP15-009 and OP14-016OP14-016 card artOP14-016Shop on TCGplayer X.Drake protect the board the same way: when one of your Characters would be removed by your opponent's effect, your Leader takes −2000 for the turn instead. Koby covers Characters with 7000 base power or less; Drake covers Supernovas, once per opponent's turn.

The one real disagreement is OP14-005OP14-005 card artOP14-005Shop on TCGplayer Killer. OPDeckGuide's Red Law guide runs four Killer and four Kid. The players who entered events did not: Killer showed up in 5 of 13 lists, and Kid averaged 2.73 copies. If you're cutting, Killer goes first.

DON!! curve going first and second

Going first you start with 1 DON!! and no draw, then add 2 a turn. Going second you start with 2. Neither player can attack on their first turn (Bandai comprehensive rules 6-3-1, 6-4-1 and 6-5-6-1). Here's what fenohs's costs allow, and the plays we'd make.

TurnGoing firstGoing second
11 DON!!: Luffy or the Event, dig for Cavendish2 DON!!: Luffy and the Event, or Cavendish
23 DON!!: Urouge, or a searcher plus Cavendish4 DON!!: Kid, free Cavendish, swap, Rush attack
35 DON!!: Bonney, two free bodies, swap, Rush attack6 DON!!: Bonney plus a searcher
47 DON!!: Lucky.Roux plus Urouge, or Beckman8 DON!!: Bonney plus Lucky.Roux is one DON!! short; Lucky.Roux plus Urouge
59 DON!!: the 9-cost Law10 DON!!: Newgate, or Newgate for 6 if they have a 10000

Turn 2 going second is the swing turn the deck wants most, and it lands about one game in four. Keep a hand with Kid or a searcher when you're second.

OP11-022OP11-022 card artOP11-022Shop on TCGplayer Shirahoshi was 4-0 against Red Law, the same four games our Shirahoshi EB05 decklist counted from her side. The bright spot is ST30-001ST30-001 card artST30-001Shop on TCGplayer Luffy & Ace, 2-5 against Red Law, and the 13 other Leaders went 6-11.

The results also came in one good night. At ChinoizeCup #124 on October 19, five Red Law players went 6-15. The next night at #125, five went 17-12, with both 5-2 finishes. Only one list showed up at #130 on November 2, the first ChinoizeCup after EB-05's October 30 release, and it went 3-3.

Our take: skip it unless you own the Roux and Bonney

We'd skip Red Law for now. Thirteen lists went 29-34-1, and none did better than 5-2: the best finishes were 9th and 15th of 120 at ChinoizeCup #125. The swap turn is real, and EB-05 took the turn-3 odds going first from 29.9% to 54.1% in our sim. The deck still went 4-8-1 against Rocks, which was 13 of its 64 games.

The money makes it easier to say no. $144 of the $197 is Lucky.Roux and Bonney. If four Lucky.Roux are already in your binder, the rest is about $110, and $57.68 of that is four Bonney; own both and you're down to about $52. At that price it's a fun deck for a store night. If not, that $144 goes further on a Leader with a winning record against Rocks.

If you searched for an OP-16 Red Law list, our older OP-16 Law page explains why OP-16 doesn't have one. The EB-05 card list has the rest of the set by color. Bandai's EB-05 product page lists the release as October 30, 2026 with "Tournament Legal after 7 days", and also says the cards are legal from your region's pre-release date, so check with your store.

How we checked this: card text from Bandai's official English card list and Limitless TCG card pages; lists, records and pairings from the Limitless Play public API for every One Piece event from October 19 to November 2, 2026 tagged [EB05] or with an EB-05 card in a posted list, with the Extra-format EGB events left out (10 events, 13 Red Law lists); prices from TCGplayer market data via tcgcsv (updated November 2, 2026), cross-checked against Limitless card pages on November 4 for the non-EB-05 cards (Limitless had no EB-05 prices yet); the swap-turn table from 100,000 simulated games per line, one run with a fixed seed (scripts/sims/optcg-red-law-eb05.py, seed 20261104); turn and DON!! rules from Bandai's comprehensive rules.
