One Piece TCG Black Friday: Do Booster Box Prices Drop?
Two years of daily TCGplayer prices say Black Friday week is not when One Piece boxes get cheaper.
Our callDon't hold out for Black Friday on older One Piece boxes: across 2024 and 2025, one box dipped 5% that week. OP-18 is different. Our read, not a forecast: skip its $306.83 pre-order and check the price on November 27, a week after release.
If you're waiting for One Piece TCG Black Friday deals on November 27 before buying a booster box, the last two years of TCGplayer prices say it won't help. We pulled the daily TCGplayer market price of every released English One Piece booster box around Black Friday 2024 and 2025: 11 boxes in 2024, 18 in 2025. At its cheapest point between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, the typical box cost 2.2% more than it had two weeks earlier in 2024, and 8.1% more in 2025. Across those 29 box-and-year pairs, one box dipped more than 5%.

The chart tracks the median box against its own price 14 days before Black Friday. Both lines are above zero on Black Friday itself, and both keep climbing through Cyber Monday. The 2025 line doesn't stop there.
Black Friday 2025: 16 of 18 boxes never dipped below their November 14 price
Black Friday 2025 was November 28 and Cyber Monday December 1. For 16 of the 18 English boxes on TCGplayer that week, the market price never fell below its November 14 level on any day from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. These eight show the spread:

The two exceptions were small. Kingdoms of Intrigue bottomed at $235.57 on November 30, 4.9% under its November 14 price. 500 Years in the Future was 0.1% under on Black Friday, then jumped to $155.33 by Cyber Monday.
What came after matters more for anyone who waited. By Cyber Monday the median box was 23.4% above its November 14 price. On December 12, two weeks after Black Friday, it was 55.1% above. Our data shows the climb, not the reason for it, so we're not going to guess at one. For a buyer the result was the same either way: the November 14 price was the deal.
2024 was flatter, and there was still no sale
Black Friday 2024 was November 29. The market was calmer, and the median box's lowest price of the week was 2.2% above its November 15 price. Six of the 11 boxes never went below their November 15 price. The deepest dip in either year belongs to OP-03 Pillars of Strength: $158.23 on November 15, $150.06 on Thanksgiving Day, a 5.2% drop, and back to $160.98 by Cyber Monday. OP-06 Wings of the Captain slid from $118.20 to $113.49 by Cyber Monday, 4.0% lower.

A green bar is a box that got cheaper. In 2025 only Kingdoms of Intrigue shows one you can see. The cheapest listings mostly held up too. On Black Friday the lowest listed price was a median 4.8% above its level two weeks earlier in 2024, and 8.2% above in 2025. The one listing that did drop is Wings of the Captain in 2025: its lowest listing went from $189.99 on November 14 to $176.98 on Black Friday, 6.8% lower, while its market price rose.
The newest set before Black Friday got pricier, not cheaper
Both years had a set out about three weeks before Black Friday. Bandai released PRB-01 Premium Booster on November 8, 2024, and OP-13 Carrying On His Will on November 7, 2025.
- PRB-01 had a $129.75 market price on release day and $162.43 on Black Friday, up 25.2%.
- OP-13 went from $167.24 on release day to $186.61 on Black Friday (up 11.6%) and $216.39 on Cyber Monday. On November 4, 2026, the same box was $422.93.
In both years, the newest box cost less on its release day than on Black Friday.
2026 is running the other way for new boxes
This year's new releases have moved in the opposite direction, and that changes the call for OP-18. We checked the same TCGplayer data for the three newest boxes:

TCGplayer market price, USD, from TCGCSV's daily price archive. EB-05 and OP-18 both first showed $399.95, with the lowest listing within 30 cents of it. That looks like early pre-order listings sitting at one price rather than a settled market, so we measure the change from October 16 instead.
OP-17 is $55 cheaper than on August 27, the day before its release, though not in a straight line: it ticked up $0.61 between October 16 and 29. Bandai lists OP-18 at $4.99 per pack and dates it November 20, 2026. The box on its product page reads "24 packs per box", so 24 packs at $4.99 comes to $119.76. That's arithmetic, not a Bandai box price. The $306.83 pre-order market is 2.56 times that figure. Our OP-18 pre-order guide covers where the pre-orders are listed.

The release schedule for October and November has the other products landing on November 20 next to OP-18.
Should you wait for November 27?
We'd say no for any box already on shelves. In both years, the median box was more expensive at its cheapest point of Black Friday week than two weeks before. In 2025, a buyer who waited past it paid more: by December 12 the median box cost 55.1% more than on November 14. One limit: our numbers only cover TCGplayer. A local store or big retailer selling at its own sale price doesn't show up here, so if one runs a real discount, take it.
OP-18 is the one box we'd wait on, and Black Friday has little to do with it. Its pre-order market price is down 14.1% since October 16, from $357.34 to $306.83. OP-17 has fallen over the ten weeks since its launch, and EB-05 has fallen over the five days of data we have since its own. Black Friday lands seven days after OP-18 comes out, which gives you a first week of real sales to look at. We'd skip the $306.83 pre-order and check the price on November 27. This is our read of three boxes, not a forecast: nobody can see November 27 prices yet. The risk is what OP-13 did in 2025, when the new box rose from $167.24 to $186.61 by Black Friday.
How we checked
We downloaded TCGCSV's daily TCGplayer price files from 21 days before to 21 days after Black Friday in 2024 (November 8 to December 20) and 2025 (November 7 to December 19), plus November 4, 2026 and five check dates for the 2026 boxes. We kept every English One Piece product named as a booster box, without cases or Japanese boxes. Boxes still on pre-order at Black Friday, or with no TCGplayer price 14 days before it, were left out: OP-09, OP-10 and EB-02 in 2024, and OP-14 and EB-03 in 2025. "Black Friday week" runs from Thanksgiving Thursday to Cyber Monday, and every change is measured against the market price 14 days before Black Friday.
